Although I believe deep in my heart that Jennifer and John deserve more credit than I can ever express, I have struggled with putting my gratitude to them in words as I cannot find the words that could ever convey the magnitude of how they affected our lives. In the year 2010 my husband and I both lost our jobs and our family income went from $180,000 to under $45,000. We were not alone in this situation as thousands of individuals were in the same predicament during that year and the following year. As much as we struggled to find employment and were sending out resumes daily, being in our 50's was making our hopes of succeeding very dismal. We continued as best we could to make monthly payments on our loan and 3 credit cards; however we were never able to make the minimum required by the financial institutions while still maintaining the basic household expenses. Phone calls from the bank were coming every hour every day. They were rude, judgmental and threatening, with not any indication of understanding for our situation or desire to work with us until we could find employment. I struggled with my debt for a number of years. Never able to come to grips with the fact that there was a problem... culminating after a failed marriage, spiralling further into Credit Cards and Personal Lines of Credit. This letter is to thank the service of the 4pillars Consulting Group and Chris Grew on the fantastic work he has done on my behalf to settle my debt and provide me with the tools I need to rebuild my credit and secure my financial future. When I first contacted Chris he agreed to see me for a free consultation. At this time my wife was already in Bankruptcy and working with a Trustee. We were scared, frustrated and disappointed with the lack of support she gave us. We received very little information and were told that the only choice my wife had to deal with her debt was Bankruptcy. It became very clear to me that the trustee wasn’t working for us at all but against us and for the creditors. This is when I decided to seek other options for myself in dealing with my debt. My first meeting with Chris was great. He provided me with lots of information, explained different options that were available to me and made me feel like my situation was not as bleak as I thought. I felt like he really cared about me. It felt good to know that he represented me and NOT my creditors and would fight for the best settlement I could get.
