Robert brings a combination of both managerial and technical skills to the team at 4 Pillars. During his educational years with the University, he was the assistant to the program manager at Mackenzie Hall. He was directly responsible for the supervision of community run programs as well as organizing courses offered by the City of Windsor’s Parks & Recreation Division.
After Graduating, Robert took a management position in K-mart Canada. Fortunately he could see ahead that K-mart was not going to be able to turn themselves around and address the emerging giant Wal-mart. At that time he decided to pursue a more rewarding career in the precision tool making industry. Windsor is the heart of research & development, education and production in this field. Robert spent 7years with Valiant Machine & Tool, one of Windsor’s largest tooling companies. Subsequently, he moved on to Ford Motor Company where he spent 6 years on the manufacturing side of the automotive business.
Due to substantial losses in market share by North American auto manufacturers, significant job reductions occurred where Robert became a casualty of downsizing. Through this labour crisis happening in Windsor, Robert saw that many workers were facing very tough financial situations. After doing some research to help out some family that were in financial difficulty, he came across 4 Pillars who specialized in helping people protect their own best interests against their creditors. Robert took great interest in what this company could do for the Windsor community. His educational background in finance along with his interpersonal skills were a definite fit, so he set out to have 4 Pillars open a Windsor office in early 2006 to help out those in need of financial restructuring.
