Sechelt, just past Gibsons, is a “blink and you miss it” type of town. I have stayed in Sechelt, for a weekend in the summer with my nieces, several times. It is where time slows down and you can really soak up the beauty of the west coast. Sechelt, although small, has quite a few things to do in the great outdoors. Tetrahedron Provincial Park is a beautiful spot to hike and pick wild blueberries in the summer. The Canada Day Parade is perfect for families to secure a spot curbside with some a coffee and fresh baked scone from Basted Baker. Lunch should be at The Wobbly Canoe which is along the Sunshine Coast Highway with uninterrupted views of the ocean. Roberts Creek Pier is a great place to walk with a cold creamy ice cream. Lastly spend a day at Davis Bay beach, searching for seashells and watching the Eagles fly overhead. Don’t forget your SPF!
